My chicken is doing this and I'm totally clueless and concerned.

Hello everyone!!!
It's been three months since we brought a chick to our home and we're new to raising one. For the past 3-4 four days he's opening his mouth constantly and his tongue moves up and down. He does this for a minute, stops it and continues again, the tongue moves rapidly a few times and moves at a slow pace at another time ( Please refer to the added attachment). I've also observed that the colour of his comb is changing at times, it's dark red once and becomes light reddish-orange at another time. He's recently biting us repeatedly on our foot too. Are these behaviours normal? Or are they to be taken care of? Please drop your suggestions.

Is he alone and indoors, that would explain a lot. Roosters are not cuddly pets

Kind of sounds like panting? Do post a video if you are able please. They can do that when hot ... however the color of his skin doesn’t look right? Magenta on his head and neck and a little too orange on his comb and wattles?

It's actually hot outside, like very hot. But we're keeping him indoors most of the time.

Yes, he is alone, he has no companion. And yes he stays indoors a lot. Actually, he spends most days inside since it's very hot. And being in an apartment, he has no proper place to roam freely. But we do take him to the terrace every day so that he can roam around.

Yes, he did pant a little. I'm having the video but I'm not able to post it in the thread, please instruct me on how to do that. And about the magenta colour, when he was a baby chick he was wholly dyed (It's something they do in India to sell chicks, they make them colourful, it's cruel but they do it. They plunge them into dyes as soon as they're born). So, the colour has faded over the months. The comb and wattles are orange, yes they are and I don't know why. They become red for few times though and revert back.
