As it says in the caption, my chicken is making a gurgling sound when she breathes and I have no clue why. I've had my chickens for 6 months now and they have been really heathy, but when I went to let them out today I noticed she was making that sound. If anyone can give me some advice I would highly appreciate it!! Thank you

X2 sounds like a respiratory issue. I agree w previous post to put her on some meds. VetRX to..it helps birdies with respiratory issues breathe better.u put a dab on the nose and under each wing.

Sounds like a respitory problem, I would isolate her from the others and check everyone for the same symptom. I would give her an antibiotic like Duramycin or a Sulfa antibiotic.

What I do is start Duramycin antibiotic and If your in a hot climate put it in the air conditioning for a day or two. The chicken's are tougher than you think. Just get the antibiotics started.

Also feel inside the beak and see If the saliva is thick like mucus. If it is I give mine a decongestant to break up the thickness of the mucus.
