It never ceases to amaze me that they don't hold it down with their feet and tear it up...SMH. I know, I know, they just don't do that...but they should, haha!!

I think they swing it around and wack it on the ground to try to knock it out or break it’s neck. They do the same with anything that moves(a couple days ago they grabbed a shiner(baitfish)out of a bucket and ate it, swallowed it whole)

UMmm. Wow.
I knew chickens ate small creatures but... whoa. Mice? Hunting? That’s crazy. Try to lure them away by giving them other food, full of deliciousness! Who would want to eat mice? Poor little rodents, too. Also, I dunno about this but mice can generate diseases. Be careful!!

Dang it why don’t my chickens eat mice I have a tone of them around I am going to start making boxes to put traps in. I don’t get it I have around 80 chickens running around and I have seen 1 chicken kill a mouse that’s it they just watch then scurry around or egnor them. Do you guys feed rations or have free choice feed. I have like 25 different breeds of chickens you would think some of them would be mousers dang it.

My guineas eat them, but I don’t eat their eggs, instead I throw the eggs out to the birds or I leave them in the nest for them to sit on them. Great pest control but I wouldn’t be eating their eggs

My chickens say to ship your mice down here to them. I say DO NOT SHIP MICE I have plenty of them. My chickens eat every mouse they can catch with a disturbing prehistoric predator glee. But only the really stupid mice wander into the chicken yard during daylight hours.

Somewhere in my years of reading and surfing the internet, I remember seeing a picture of an egg with a hunk of mouse tail adhered to it. Just looked for the picture but no joy so far
