no , he doesn't, he has a scab that was his bottom eye lid I had to remove it and get the infection in one eye cleaned out , this is one of the hardest things I have done raising animals my whole life. I threw up after taking care of it . how do I keep him from starching his eyes with his claws I noticed and I cleaned his feet. both eyes were infected but one didn't have raised skin .

:hugs If you removed the scab and infection, I would flush it out a couple of times a day with saline and apply an eye ointment like Terramycin. If that is Fowl Pox, try to be careful since it does spread when you mess with the lesions.

I would keep him on puppy pads, maybe even put paper towels on top of that, makes for easy clean up. As for keeping him scratching, that's a hard one - hopefully the eye ointment will take care of some of the itch. Others have tried trimming the nails slightly, then putting tape/bandaids over the nails to "lesson" the impact of scratching. If he's fairly immobile, you can try putting him in a chick chair where he can't scratch the eyes, but he may still rub at them how ever he can.

Examples of chick chairs. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/versions-of-chick-chairs-please.1166308/

iam worried it will come back but , iam the only one who would fight for him . I have no money for meds , that's why I tried to do everything to the best of my limits. I put bactine to kill infection , on the other eye since it wasn't the eye I had to cut out a scap , I put hydro proxide and water , both eyes I put neosporn . iam trying I had thoughts ,he is in pain ,there is only so much I can do to ease his pain maybe he should be put down, but I was like he is my child and he would fight for me so I should do the same since his mother passed away (wild chicken ) I caught him with this still on his eye it wasn't worse til I put him with my bigger chickens they pecked at him . so I removed him . I had wrong guidance , iam new to raiseing chickens , am I able to use contact solution?

Hang in there. This is really hard, but you are doing a good job. Take a deep breath and continue to reach out for advice. I feel for you.
You are doing all you can and that's awesome.

You can use contact solution or you can make your own saline solution (salt water flush) if you wish. Add 1 teaspoon salt to 1 quart of water, boil for 15 minutes to make sterile. Cool and use to flush out the eye. You can store the solution for up to 24hrs in sterilized jar, then throw out.
Plain Neosporin is fine to use in the eye if that's what you have.

It may also help to place a warm compress on the swelling to help draw up any pus that's in the eye.

Your doing everything you can. It's good that he's eating. If you have poultry vitamins I would give him some. Another thing you can do is look in a store like Dollar Tree, you might find B-Complex tablets and even Vitamin E to help give him a boost. If you find those, let me know.
