My chicks are stuck at the PO ~ Update pg 3 photos pg 5

glad all went well in the end..but this is a good reminder to people to maybe wait until later in the spring for delivery..I am in MN,no way I would order chicks in the mail until late april..we have had 3 to 6 feet of snow pretty much all winter,we have 2 4WD'S..a skidloader to clear snow and a wonderful neighbor that just shows up after the storms and blows out the drive and yard with his tractorblower..if all else fails I have my driving horse..lol..

Just saw this thread. I was on pins and needles and had to skip to the end to make sure you got the chicks before I read the middle postings. Oh how nice of your neighbor. If you bake, make them some of Gump girls bread posted on this site as a thank you. That was sooooo nice of them. Great your are giving them chicks. Do they have other chickens?

I would sure hope that PO lady never gets anything important in her mail. I could never ignor a critter in need.

So happy for a good outcome. Now post pics so we can see all your new babies. did I miss what breed they are?

She always could have called the boss and been advised as to what to do. Still she just was tactless and rude.

I live in a smal town, and there is no excuse for a public servant to be rude......It is illegal to open someones mail unautherized, but you were on the phone with her, you could give autherization......she was just being unkind and thoughtless.
