weve had the same problem...one time we thought we were snowed in for 3 DAYS!!! Come to find out it was only 50feet down the road and then it was perfectly clear lol....what a mess....iam in WV and when i first started reading the thread I was about to ask you where you were....cuz if you werent far...i could come...let me know if something like that happens again if im not too far from you....

So glad you got your chicks home safe ,being on Australian time I had to go to bed about the time you were leaving for the post office,and It was driving me nuts not knowing if they made it.
they are so cute its a pity they can never know how many people were worried for them,but maybe you could tell post office lady how many people are really mad at her,and give good neighbour a big hug from all the people who think she is just the best.

To be fair, the postal lady may not have been able to open the box. It is a federal offense to mess with mail, and she may have worried about getting in trouble for opening someone elses' package, even with permission.
