i have dipped beaks and everyone is doing great i am boiling a egg right now for them.. there was one dead in the box

and 3 others arent looking so good.. of course they would all have to be my aracaunas (not sure if i spelled that right) sooo if the other 3 die ill only have 1 aracauna

we got 5 buff silkies, 5 blue and 5 aracaunas... i hope the ones that dont look good dont die

They look cute.

You might consider throwing a little sugar into the water for some extra energy esp if one died.


You also might consider spreading paper towels over the pine bedding until they know the difference between food and bedding. Sometimes ingested bedding can cause them problems.

Make sure that the ones doing not so well are kept warm.
 
i did add sugar to their water.. and the water is warm. i never thought about them eating the shavings!! ill put paper towels down

Please email or call Cackle - when I told them (very nicely, didn't ask for refund, just was letting them know) how many I had die, they politely informed me that it was just me, and everyone else Raves about them.

I didn't expect anything more than that, though.

with mine, I had a couple die right off - then two and three weeks later they just didn't thrive and died off one by one - all 15 Delaware babies I waited forever for them to even ship to me.

The brahmas I got from Cackle fared a little better - only lost about half of those, the half that grew properly - the half that died also failed to thrive. (had 25 of the brahmas)

needless to say, I won't be ordering from Cackle again - hope yours do fine and live long healthy lives.
