My coop doesn't have a real floor it just sits right on the floor. So how do I clean it?

So I have chicken wire on the bottom so that predators won't crawl under it. However if I put a tarp on top of that and then shavings would that work? That way I can take the tarp out clean it and sanitize it. Anyway would that work?

If it is outside you could just put the shavings in. I wouldn't do the tarp, it would just end up being a pain in the long run. Look into the deep litter method. You don't need to sanitize it. If it is inside that should work until they are big enough to go outside. I wouldn't worry about sanitizing it, just take it outside and shake off the tarp and then wipe down any poopy parts with a paper towel. Then dry it with another paper towel and put it back together. That is basically what I am doing with ours. I am just using the hard piece of plastic that came with the dog crate instead of a tarp.
