MY DAD IS GETTING ME ONLY ONE HERMIT CRAB!

my dad got me one hermit crab for Christmas, I looked up what they need and found out they need freind(s). I told my dad about it and he said, don’t believe everything you see on the internet, I don’t want to get you another one, you’re stuck with that one. And I said, well then can I atleast get a bigger tank? And he said no as well. So I’m kinda stuck, he’s really hard to convince.

If you're not old enough to be able to get a second crab or a bigger tank yourself, there's no point coming to us about it.
We can't help you with this, unfortunatly, either rehome the crab or take it back and perhaps look into more singular pets like bettas.
Or try to make the best of it , a mirror might help.

My experience with keeping hermit crabs was a long time ago.

While I always tried to have more than one, I don't think it would be too hard on your crab to be alone for a while. Maybe if you proved that you are responsible enough to care for one, your dad might change his mind later?

Also, hermits don't need a lot of room, but they do appreciate having a variety of shells they can pop in and out of.
