Oh, BTW, it happens a month or two after they're in heat....which is where your dog is now. A month or two after her last heat. So she may have a hormonal imbalance. Still, take her to the vet to find out.

Yes. But it could be other things too. To be safe, I'd take her to the vet. Another person here posted in this thread about her dog that ate a rock, and had to go to the vet. Some things you won't know for sure until you go to the vet.

I still vote vet.

It was my dog who ate the rock.

Read my post on how fast she went from up and mostly ok to near dead. It was 15 HOURS

Time matters. After Christmas could be to late.

By the way we have spent $6,000 SO FAR keeping mine alive.
If I had insisted on X-rays the first vet visit it could have been far less.

Do they have a message on their machine about who to call in case of emergency?

I would call and find out.

Even if you call and they advise to wait and see at least you called and got a vets advice.

My female didn't seem like herself and seemed to be in pain and wouldn't eat and it ended up being pyrometria. Although it is usually associated with older dogs. She had to have emergency surgery

Are there any emergency vets open within a few hours of you? Could you at least call them and be ready if anything happens? And I agree, false pregnancy is a very viable option. I can’t remember if you said earlier, but how old is she?

Key word there EMERGENCY.

There are just to many things it COULD be. Please @happy eggs yard call a vet sooner rather than later.
