I agree, I get that the OP is a minor and it's not their responsibility. I also think that it's very likely a false pregnancy as the symptoms fit, so thank goodness not an emergency. But the lack of care for the poor dog is alarming. If it was bloat or torsion or some other life threatening issue is it just supposed to lay there in agony until it finally dies. because it happens to get sick at an inconvenient time? People should not have animals unless they are able and willing to take care of them.

Happy Eggs Yard please talk to your parents about getting your dog spayed. First of all male dogs will travel miles, jump over, dig under and even tear down fences, whatever they have to do, to get to a bitch in season. Your girl is not safe running around intact and unsupervised like that. Secondly, since she is prone to have false pregnancies this is most likely going to happen again and again after every heat.

Does she have any discharge coming from any of her private parts, or her nipples? Is she growling at all or just hiding...if she growls..be careful because she might be in pain and not mean to hurt you. Can you ask a neighbor for a thermometer, or to look at her? Did you try the fan..or pedialyte ice cubes? I think it might be time to ask for an adult’s help sweetie.

I read it as grandparents were visiting for the holiday but staying at a hotel so unlikely that they were upsetting her causing her hiding.
