My dogs,Flock, and I almost died

I wish I was joking. My land borders a state park and unfortunately this a very popular dog dumping area. I get regular packs of aggressive feral dogs roaming the local forest. Last time it was two pitbulls and a huge rottweiler that had formed a pack. It's like skyrim here
Oh wow that’s scary!!!

I think dogs in packs are worse than wild animals by far. Back when I was growing up my dad had 3 dogs get into his bird pens and killed some ducks, chickens and pheasants. My dad shot the 3 dogs, he found out later they came from a guy down the road that was single and put in jail for some reason and no one was feeding the dogs.

That’s sad

You shoot them, or try to use a live trap and see if the game agency has anything they want you to do with it.
There really isn't much of any need to call the game wardens because you can go coyote hunting normally anytime of year - you don't even have to let them know. He was after all after you and/or your chickens. And you can really call them all you want to about a bear/coyote/raccoon it also doesn't mean that they are going to do anything about it.

I have a pack of dogs that think my property is theirs. My dog and I disagree. My real problem isn't with the dogs though... it's with their idiot owners.

I brought out the paintball gun with pepper spray paint balls. Not only will that teach the dogs not to come back but they'll go home and roll around on the owner's couch and bed and teach him a lesson too.

It sounds harsh but I'm my opinion, I'm taking the high road. I have kids, a dog and chickens. I keep losing chickens too. I'm not 100 percent sure that the dogs are killing the chickens but the dogs are aggressive and pack mentally is no joke.

This is why I stopped doing chicken chores in the dark lol. If I can tell whats standing there i'm not to scare but I live in a rural area. The high chance of it bear, bobcat or mountain lion is high as is fox or coyote. Faulty chicken door led to seeing eye shine in the dark scaring the living daylights out of me. I woke up my parents and forced one of them to accompany me outside lol. That chicken door now stays open unless severe weather. I'd rather encounter an animal when I can see it than when I can't see it. (I also now leave shovels and weapon like tools next to the coop for easy access just incase..)
