Good morning :frow They are soooooo very cute. :love
Good day. It's difficult to tell when to stop incubating the eggs after day 0 comes. That day came for us a few days ago. I let the eggs sit for a few more days. Then today I went to open up the ones that didn't hatch to see why and found one really late silky chick still alive, as well as a quail that had just pipped the putter shell (luckily I spotted that one before I tried to open it. The silky chick didn't make it due to blood. The eggs that were dead that I did open, had some silkies that barely developed. The double yolkers that we tried, had some development but most didn't make it to day 20. One was about to hatch, but had gotten tangled in it's own yolk cord before it fully absorbed it, hence choking it's self. It hat absorbed it's twin, I saw the other yolk sack but not the other chick.
