My duck/chicken life

Isn't amazing how fast they can turn clean water into brown. I'm convinced they only poop when they drink.

I know right, it does seem that way sometimes.

I dont know if ibposted this or not, but the last eggs I tried to hatch didnt make it, three died probably a few days before hatch (two pekins, one khaki campbell) one wasnt fertil, one exploded on me when I tried to crack it open to look, and one had growth started but died way before hatch (a tiny tiny pekin fetus.)

Now unpdate for my ducklings. Their healthy still and love the water. THEIR FINALLY GETTING THEIR FEATHERS!!! Cant wait to see what oreo turns out looking like. Oreo has lost a lot of color in his/her beak, and is starting to develop a low raspy quack. They will be moving into our mini barn as soon as their fully feathered.

I hate exploding anything, but eggs are right there at the top of the list. My last hatch, last year, it was about 4:45 in the morning as I walks by the bator "POP" Oh know, I fling open the door and look until I find the tray and take it outside to deal with it. Everyone in the house was up by 5 from the smell.

Joy thankfuly i was outside. And had a nose plug.
