Sterile water and soap would be better than nothing, but it won't kill bacteria. Walmart has both betadine and chlorhexidine. Personally, I prefer chlorhexidine.Thanks K could think what that was you rec. the chlorhexidine. Better than using soap and water saline?
Do not apply ointment until after you do a thorough inspection and cleaning.do you know with what kind of ointment?
