Hello!
I've been reading a lot on this forum and decided to join.
Anyway, I'm currently incubating some Pekin Ducklings. Over 24 hours ago, one of them has made a hole in its shell (externally pipped??) Since then, the hole has gotten a tiny bit bigger but the duckling isn't making any effort to crack the shell.
He's simply sitting there with his bill out singing away.
He seems quite awake. He's quite loud.
But he isn't trying to break the shell.
How long do ducklings take to zip after externally pipping?
