My EE has decided that she will lay her eggs in my bathroom sink.

I don't have screens. I do have a back yard with chickens in it. Sometimes they just need to come in for a chat, especially when I'm at my computer desk right by the door.
Another time they come in is to get away from John the Perv, er, I mean, "overly-friendly" duck, when he's chasing them. He will run up the deck steps after them but so far he hasn't been into the house.
In the 6 years that I've had chickens I've only had to clean up 1 poop.
Yes, they aren't the most sanitary things to have in a house but at least my visitors don't smell! I had ducklings in a brooder for 3 1/2 weeks and believe me - they stink no matter how hard you try to keep things fresh. I washed down the walls and floor with a disinfectant cleanser when they moved outside.

But I'm a bit weird. I sleep with 2 dogs on my bed, one under the covers and one on my feet. I guess that's not very clean either.

I sleep with 3 dogs on my bed...all above the covers, but only b/c they prefer it that way. Oh, did I mention I have DH in the bed too?

I would have a lot less problem with a chicken sneaking in now and then, than I have with brooding chicks in the house. Made that mistake once; never again, no way. Mine don't sneak in, but I think they are thinking about it....

The weather in St. Louis was beautiful today so I had my back door open. I chased my girls out a couple of times while I was watching TV. At one point I was in the basement only to come up the stairs and find a couple of birds in the house. They turned and scooted out the door when I spoke to them but not before one had left a gift on the carpet. No problem for me, I already had the vaccume out and her gift was pretty solid so it was gone in a jiff.

I do wish though that they were litter box trained like my wifes cats. I would allow them in the house then and maybe they would ley their eggs in my sink. After all my wife does turn the faucet on in my sink so that one of her cats can drink from it!

I have a cat that sleeps in the master bath sink. Since there's 2 sinks and only one of me, I just put her little bed in there for her to make it cozy. Although, this is the same cat that taught herself to urinate in the toilet. (Scared me to death, I'd come home from work and find urine sans TP in my toilet, my family consists of 3 girls - no men. I could not for the life of me figure out why someone would break in to use my bathroom. I was about to call the police until I came home early one morning and caught her at it. She did NOT appreciate the pictures I took of her that morning!). Durn cats!

BorderKelpie - - the people who built our house put a bidet in the master bathroom. It has not been used in the years we've lived here - I really have no idea what to do with it -

- and don't really WANT to know - but my giant Himalayan cat loves to curl up and sleep in it. I think it keeps him cool when it's warm outside

bawkbawkbawk,
It must be a siamese type thing, my cat is Siamese and yours has siamese, too. What color is your Himi? My Ghost is a lilac pt.
(I love the mental pic of your cat in a bidet)
