My young roos are getting feisty and starting to try and mount each other. I figure about a month and they will figure out they should be on the pullets.
I bought 3 and 2 from TSC. Banded them to see what they look like growing up. I'm not too impressed. I lost one of the youngest and one of the oldest has a slight misshapen beak, the whole face is crookedI have so many right now running around the banded ones are lost in them. I'll have to hunt them down and see how they are growing now that I haven't noticed them for a month.
On the subject of crosses, a sultan roo topped a buff brahma looking mix and the offspring are gorgeous. They resemble your cross with EE but not as heavy of a head poof. Both are really weird colors tho, so of course I love them! Best of all, both are pullets.
