oh, forgot to add, another one on my wish list is hartlaub's ducks too, seen a few for sell over the years, but not many

Only sylvan, and from what I heard they have alot, If I get um shipped 3000 only half that if I go to their sale and pick them up.So I guess Ill pick them up

I know someone who has bronzewings right now for1000. I love all ducks but if Im going to throw down that much cash I want the beautiful colors more than the rarities.Thats why I will probably have mandies and woodies till I keel over.

Beautiful, let me ask you I have a trio of the Red Crested Poucards, can you tell me a little about there breeding and hatching techniques, are they ground nesters or box nesters?

Linda, yes pocards of all species are ground nesters, red crested are one of the easiest to keep, no major requirements for them.
Yes Sylavn is pretty much the only place that has the africans, they are really the ones who got them started here in the states, and keep a tight fist over them. They rarerly let any go, and when zoos have them for sale, well, they zoos got them from the Lubbocks, so the have deals that all excess stock must be offereed back to them first. So it's pretty much them and zoos with them. They have all 3 species of the little ducks too, seen them all there. The indian is pretty nice too.

First off...Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! Donna that was per bird bronzewings, Kansas they dont advertise it.Its in february. Linda mine use a box.( Always have. Its a 2x2 box with mouse hole favoring one side).although the person I got them from lay in both ground and boxes. They lay 8-12 eggs ayr. Aubrey they have been doing very well with africans. So well my freind that worked there said no problem at all even with zoos gettin first crack. So if I sell ALOT of my birds Im getting them no problem,

Matter of fact Id get them this feb if some body would buy most all my ducks,(hint hint). I cant get these new birds without selling alot of mine,or Ill be owning the shoe store

Seriously though Im gonna keep most of my birds till spring so hopefully babies are all over and sell them. Fortunely for me Ive got alot of people that want alot of my babies for next year already but hey Ive had both good and bad years.Who knows its up to the birds but I will do all I can short of playin romantic music for em. Whats funny though is I did every thing I could for them coupla yrs back horrible yr. And this last year didnt hardly put any cover in , give them treats, didnt care for babies or not and had one of my best years ever.go figure

I know, I know, I know I have seen Red-breasted Geese for sale on GBWF site. I may be wrong about the price but I know I have seen them. Shame they clean up the ads every 45 days so can't go back and look at who had them

yes donna red breasted are for sale for that as well. Aubrey and me are talkin bout African Pygmy geese .Now if you see them for 600 apiece Im getting in my car right now and Ill take my wife with me so she can get 2prs of shoes on the way

Im definately getting red-breasted next year or sooner .
