On the Floating nest... how would you make them stationary in the ponds? of course I can only see us being able to put 3 in there. One on each end and one in the canal!

Thanks fort he estimate on the amoutn of babies.. I know there is alot of factors that take into play I just didn't want to plan for 50 and end up with 200-300 and no where to put them!

You can anchor them with 2 cinder blocks tied with rope. And unless Im missing some thing with your huge pond you could have at least ten floating islands and not even dent the water surface. If you want lots of babies you need to have your avairy like a forest (Im not kidding) This is the time of year you should put stuff everywhere. This is the main thing I wish someone would have told years ago for breeding success

Kanga If you got those quail out you would'nt have to worry about cedar anymore.

It would break their heart to move.. Eventually I will be building them their own but for now they mainly stay in one corner or on the edge.. We have plenty of pine trees to go around here though.. lol!
