A few more photos of the girls in the layer flock. Other than a BUNCH of light brahmas and black australorp pullets, we have barred rocks, SLWs
(Angie and Cynthia
)
one GLW roo that I'm trying to figure out how to ship to Nome for Snowydiamonds, a White Rock, a White Wyandotte, RIRs, (Big Red)
a Silver Sebright (Penelope No-Toes), and a Silver Spangled Hamburg... plus, I think I've figured out (with Cyn's help) that Sunrise is a Welsummer?
Sunrise:
(Please pardon the mud... the girls are unable to get away from the mud...
This is what it has looked like all Summer...
It JUST stopped raining again... I need to cover the run completely if it's going to keep raining like this next year...
Plus we now have a beautiful Blue Laced Red Wyandotte - Lacey:
Coming out of a molt.
Two Ameraucanas (molting and muddy) - any suggestions on the technical term for the coloring?
... one girl that looks like a buff orpington, but has dark tail feathers. She was an "unknown layer" and could be a mutt.
...and one old girl that I think might be a Dark Cornish? I have a lot of one-of-a-kind chickens, and some I'm just not sure yet.
Any help on breeds/color IDs would be appreciated. These girls are all in a separate coop/run, and other than the pure enjoyment of their company, they lay enough eggs to pay for most of the feed.
