my family cant seem to catch a break... more prayers please.

Hope all goes well for your MIL. How lovely it is that you are so fond of her. Stress is the worst thing for making you feel unwell, but I'm sure you are finding it hard not to be stressed at the moment. Remember, 'one day at a time'.

it looks like my MIL maybe having her brain surgery tomorrow. the cat scan today shows it is much worse since thursday... waiting to find out for sure

Take care of yourself.

The brain is a fantastic thing you know it can survive much!!!!!!!! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Try to take some time to sit and breath in the eye of the storm you are finding yourself in. Stress is a terrible thing that eats away at you and zaps all your strength. You will need all of your strength to help those you love through these hard times. So you need to look after you first. ( That is NOT selfish it is fact!) Make sure you eat fine and rest when you can. You need time to relax and keep your own stress level at a minimum. Take 10 mins out with a coffee when you need it - go hide in the chicken coop. Just take time to breath and take stock. - You cannot help your lovely MIL by worrying or the rest of the family and their issues either. You know not too long ago folk with Brian issues like that would not have survived now we have great knowledge and understanding about brain function and how to fix things never thought possible in years gone by. God is great to help us in these things. So lets pray for the medical staff that they are guided in what they do and only good comes out of this.

I know stress and I know brain injury and I know a little of what you are going through.

MIL surgery was yesterday. the bleeding was worse but it is now fixed. she will be in ICU for a few days. today they got her up an walking. we just realized that she will be 70 next year. she made them shave her whole head instead of 1/2 ... she looks like she is very frail. it was hard seeing her that way . she is such a spunky little lady. she works 2 jobs and helps everyone around her. she is the most amazing MIL anyone could ever ask for. she treats me like her own daughter. I love her so much
