Hi all!

So I’ve got 7 healthy pulleys (all 6 months old) but two of them are the most inquisitive, affectionate and interesting chickens I’ve ever seen.

Unfortunately the local farmer I bought them for had no idea what they were.

From what I can tell they are Silkie x Australorp.

I also bought an australorp for him so I know he had them on his farm.

All chicks are 6 months old however the only two laying are my Silkie x Australorps.

I’m also happy to report they are laying 5-6 eggs a week each and they are of a medium size which is very impressive considering the Silkie aspect.

Can you guys please confirm my suspicions on the breed?

The one with the orange feathers around the neck has 5 toes and feathers on her feet whilst the other only has 4 toes and no feathers haha

I’ve noticed they have the green shine on their feathers the same as the australorp at the back of the first photo? Do copper Marans get the same thing? :)

Cheers
