You guys are cracking me up! My humidity is holding at around 70%, no pips yet.......something tells me that mine are all going to hatch tomorrow while I'm at the doctor's office doing fasting bloodwork....dang checkup!

I would rather they hatch while I'm gone.. saves me from resisting temptation to open. The first pip is killing me, happened about 5 hours ago but very little progress.

I would add that if you see pips it can be days before they actually hatch. With chickens I generally have pip to hatch in 12 hours, but my ducks can take upto 3 days after pipping and the first time I was really worried that they'd shrink wrapped in there, but they were just fine...
Just thought I'd mention it!

wow, thank you! I can't tell you how great that was to hear. I was just wondering if they take longer than chickens and I was getting nervous that maybe my humidity gauge was off.

My first duck hatch I spent a miserable 2 days checking them every hour or so, worrying, and convinced my hygrometer must be wrong, and wondering whether to interfere...I had pips within hours of starting lockdown that didn't hatch until day 28, but also ones that pipped and hatched in about 15 hours too on their due date...oh the stress, lol...
Good luck! I go into lockdown with my latest duck eggs in 2 days and again in 6 days...then I'm done for the year I think!

Still nothing.......no pips, nothing. We candled them a week ago and they had good veins and air sacs. Should I worry now or in a couple of days?
