My first egg! 19 weeks and 4 days. Will the eggs get bigger with time?

It is a bit on the small side but perfect otherwise !!!! Clean also! My Dilly Anne Gave me my first egg and I witnessed it tonight at 520 when I was cleaning the coop! She has been extremely friendly lately she even let a boy pick her up and carry her all around with out making a fuss at a gathering I was having. SO HAPPY!

Wow! That’s a great sized egg, I can see she is very proud of it- almost as much as you!

Congrats on your first egg! Yes, laying can be sporadic in the beginning. She may skip a day or three or lay a smaller egg or a really large egg and the color can also vary in shades of the first egg. It takes them a little while to get all of the logistics of egg laying worked out sometimes!

Thank you today I got another egg a tiny bit bigger and she missed one day.
