My first egg and they're only 13 weeks old! UPDATE- 12 wk. old

Well, that is sort of a mixed blessing, really, having one lay that early. Sex links and other high production breeds are most likely to get egg peritonitis and lay internally, dying somewhere around two years old. Starting to lay that early may make this condition appear earlier than it might otherwise so keep an eye out later on. Congrats on the egg-that's the earliest I've ever heard of.
 
I have Golden Comet pullets too. One of mine started at 15wks and has
laid an egg 6 out of the last 7 days. Some of the other girls seem ready
but have not started yet. Their faces are red and the squat down when
touched.

That is amazing!! I think it is like a world record or something b/c I've never seen any of my sexlinks or my Golden Comets lay any earlier than 15 1/2 weeks old! Congrats to you and your pullet!
 
We just our first egg this past week and our oldest chickens were hatched mid/late March. I think it was from our sex link too.
