My first ever egg ever....tiny!

interesting info on heater for coop. But I feel baaaaad! I went out this morning and it was 30 degrees. I was freezing! i do have a heat lamp out there, so it does help some. I have checked 3 times today, and not another egg. I think I am pressuring them. But it is so exciting! Only the folks on this forum would understand!!

Deb, everyone has to do what they feel is right for their chickens and other critters as well, however you're really not doing them any favors by not letting them acclimate to cooler temps.
Power goes out from time to time. Chickens that are used to the cold won't have any problem dealing with. The ones that have never experienced cold weather are the ones that will get sick when the temps. drop. Just MHO.
