Hello everyone! I was originally going to wait until Day 5 in case absolutely none of these end up viable, but I'm hoping by committing now means there will hopefully be lots of life waiting in these sweet eggs. This is my first ever Hatch-Along. I was wanting to plan, and prep, and wait for a few months, but hubby and some kind users here have given me encouragement. So here we go!

If you'd like, call dibs on an egg to cheer on as they hopefully grow and hopefully hatch! I’ll put your username by the codenames I’ve put in for fun. They’re characters from a couple of my family and I’s favorite books/movies/shows!

The writing in pencil was for the numbers and weights so I could keep track, but numbers were hard to see so I added them in on photoshop for ease. 🤭

They’ll be in the cartons in the incubator for a few days so they won’t turn just yet in case shipping was hard on them! Then I'll be placing them in the auto-turner with my first ever candling. I'm really nervous but excited. I do understand absolutely none of these may hatch or even end up viable, but I'd like to share my first journey with trying to hatch! They're separated for the first 7 days to see whether dry vs wet ends up looking most on track progress-wise, then I'll combine into the one where they're seeming to do the best!

Hope I did this right! 🤣

Putting these notes here for my quick and easy future reference (in case I lose the paper; I don't trust myself 🤭 ) Putting day 1 weights down then my math, IF it's correct, on the approximate appropriate weight by lockdown. I could very well be wrong but! Giving it a go! (This is mostly for my own edification and because I'm having fun trying to learn all the things about incubation) I BELIEVE I've read around 12% weight should be lost by lockdown so basing the calculations on that!
