My first hatch and it pipped in the wrong spot...

Glad to know they can do okay for a while alone.... :) I have been worried about it not being able to keep heat...
She was fine, of course she's been inside the whole time (and I keep it warm in here as I freeze easy...lol) and She was under the brooder lamp for the required amount of time. she's an awesome bird, even if she is a bit clingy...lol

Mine are pure bred, but I hatch different ones at different times. Even the games I can ID by leg color. Post pic of your chick maybe we can ID
This is a pic of "her" helping my son with his schoolwork a couple weeks back....

and this is a more rent pic:

It's so hard to get a good pic of her close up as she constantly moves...lol She does have a small muff and beard as well as light feathering down the outside of her legs.

I have my heat up now for the lil chicks too. Oil is going fast! I have her in an aquarium tank and a 250 w bulb and a stuffed friend.

I tried to give mine a stuffed animal when she was little, it freaked her out...lol maybe she didn't like my choice, so it came right back out. Put a different one in when she got a little bigger and all she did was poop all over it...lol

I'm very sorry that you only got one hatch, but congrats that you at least got one! It's sad that your little girl/guy is alone for a while, but I hope you can get it some company soon!
