My first hatch and it pipped in the wrong spot...

Hopefully some rest now and he will push out that last little bit on his own. They do hatch a very weird way when you think about it with the head under the wing. It fascinates me how they zip and hatch like that.

I feel I can go to bed now as I was wondering how you were getting on with him :caf

Well done on assisting him :hugs
Quite an experience for the first time

I actually took those through the bator window. It's a great way to share with pictures instead of descriptions...lol

I have a fuzzy butt! He was totally stuck in that shell. I had to peel every piece off. Looks pretty good except for the butt~

Thank you all soooooooooooooooo much!!!!!

I just read through this whole thread and I'm glad it had such a happy ending! I would love to see a picture of the little guy when he's dry.

He is doing well today. I will post a better pic once he is freed from the incubator. Thanks for asking! Unfortunately, he is alone still!

Into the incubation area now. Seems to be doing well. I candled the rest and they are not moving around, no chirping, no nothing...not quite sure what to do with them. Day 22 started 8 hours ago.
