It will be years of hard work and breeding to get that point. Can you imagine the honor of being responsible for an entire newly recognized color of orpingtons?

But for now he is just my little orp project and I am thrilled with this odd fella I once considered culling. Wouldn't that have been a huge mistake.

People have been asking to see the red x buff chicks. Some of them look like plain buff orps. Some don't. Nothing exciting yet but here they are.

I have a couple of those. The one pullet looks like a plain buff. They are nice chicks. Full bodied, healthy. It will be interesting to see what hatches from the pullets from Jody's stock.
