My Flock Journey

Hi Everyone,
I have 8 Australorp chicks that I purchased at 2 weeks old. They are now 29 days old. I will be posting my journey here. As we just moved to 10 acres and will be letting our chickens free range. And may need advice on the journey ahead.

Yesterday, I tried my chicks on Oats and they liked them but I also let them out to look around so they were more interested in our compost lol

They are growing up so fast.
We were thinking since we have the room we might get more chicks when these ones grow up a bit.

My chicks are 1 month old today
I still have a heat lamp for them but they are now in their big coop and learning where they will sleep
And we have been letting them out to look around. They dont go far from their coop.

No, we dont get snow or anything where we are. Its cold but not freezing or anything. Im in Queensland. Probably the lowest we get here is 5° if that.

My chicks are almost 5 weeks old now. The last few days I was having an issue that 1 chick wasn't sleeping with the others and id have to put her with them every night but tonight I came home from work and she was in sleeping with the others chicks
Hopefully it continues
My partner did notice a big rabbit in the chicken coop eating their feed this afternoon. So we may need to deal with that issue now.
But exciting journey already!
