He is a bantam; all my chickens are except Griffin (medium), Olive (medium), and Lupin (standard). I'm not sure of Frosty's exact parentage, I got him from someone with a bunch of little roosters running around. But, he looks mostly OEGB to me, and he acts like one. He also has light feathering on his legs and a slightly sebright pattern.
Frosty isn't really aggressive, just bold. He never pecks me, but sometimes puffs up to my finger before realizing that the finger belongs to me, not another rooster.
I have an aggressive rooster, Griffin, who I have sorta trained to stop attacking me. I just have to keep chasing him and "pecking" him with my hand to remind him that I'm "top rooster".
I do that too, but i use my boot and hook it under his chest and give him a very gentle toss. he learned to respect my brown boots, but sandals, pink crocs, and black boots he will attack and wants to kill. lol Do your roosters have any type of shoes they hate?
I don't really use my shoes, when Griffin makes a "challenge stance" at me (puffing up and scratching the ground while looking at me) I chase him and try to catch him with my hands. It may be harder for someone with a larger or bolder rooster, though.
