Thanks guys for all the input. I ended up working until midnight tonight because one of my co workers had a family emergency. But I came home and discovered I have a missing Cayuga duck. Can't find her anywhere. But I don't have the best of flashlights and its pitch black. We are thinking maybe she got attacked by something and my gander was protecting her. But I'm not sure. I checked the whole yard but I've lost ducks before and found them a few hrs later. All I can think is when a skunk attacked one of my ducks before my geese didn't do anything to protect it. So idk what to think right now. I didn't find any feathers and I've never had any preds in the yard during the day ever. I've never even seen any preds in my yard during the day. At night I've seen a few different ones but never during daylight. And I've lived here for about 2 yrs. That doesn't mean it didn't happen but I'm trying to optimistic and am headed out at about 6 in the morning to see if I can't find her in some day light or be able to see any signs of a struggle or anything. Not sure what would just bite my goose though and then run away. Something isn't adding up. No new progress just his foot has stopped bleeding completely now. I'm going to rinse his wounds with hydrogen peroxide and then wrap them up. In the morning I will unwrap them and start applying triple antibiotic without pain reliever. Fingers crossed I find my ducky in the morning.

So if it turns out that my duck is indeed long gone should I start giving penicillin shots to my gander? I know I did that when my dog had attacked my duck. It doesn't look like a bite wound at all but I could see where maybe some teeth caught it and tore the skin a bit. Makes sense kinda. Also his one wound on his first joint on his leg is basically all better and his skin is almost completely off. The skin that covered up the blood pocket. His other bad one on his top joint is a bit better too but not much. I tried the wraps but he wanted nothing to do with them and it was hard without help. So I wasnt able to put wraps on. I did rinse his wounds with hydrogen peroxide, man did that bubble like crazy. He was very uncomfortable and I had to keep him from sticking his face in it. I tried the wraps that didn't go well so I rinsed the wounds really well and put some triple antibiotic on them for the night.

No my duck is a Cayuga but have not found any signs of her at all. She was probably a good 7 or maybe 8 pounds. I'm not sure what could of happened. My gander is doing pretty good. He doesn't like being away from his friends and family though. He hears them outside and keeps calling out to him. He's very loud but I feel so bad for him at the same time. I have acv in his water right now too. I think I'm going to see if a mirror will help him. I have 4 ducklings in the house right now too but he seems to not care much about them. I do have them separate otherwise he would kill them. I just feel bad that he calls to his flock whenever he hears them. But other than that he is doing good. I have applied neosporin a few times to his wounds. His legs are warm but I'm not sure if that's because its warm inside or because it is infected. Both legs feel the same warmth though.

I remmber i once my embden gander saw himself in the mirror and was scared until 2 hours later he smashed the mirror and was fighting it.what a mess the clean up was
