my gander is bleeding from his leg help please

Haha my poor ducks and in ireland you dont see lizards never but they are here probely oh and we dont have snakes either no reptiles unfortually :-/
but in brazil ye dont have foxes do ye ?!
In brazil you have all tropical animals that ireland will never have for example in brazil you have big lizards ,anacondas, lpoisonous snakes, huge spiders, tropical pests ,big cats and different fish! And ireland only has a fox and minks and badgers thats it :-/
So you have alot of preds to deal with !

Good morning. I use flour to stop any bleeding on all my farm animals. I'm Native American, this is how I have always stop blood flow. It clots fast. Cleans off easily after the wound has healed. Any injure to the upper thighs needs to be watched. Major blood flow is in the hips of humans and animals are similar in that aspect. I hope this helps for future injuries.

Yes it does, I remember reading about flour doing this and had forgotten. Thanks for the reminder, and

In Brazil we do have 2 animals like foxes, but they´re rarely seen. And there are all the animals that you´ve mentioned, and more,(like hawks which are a real threat to the tinies) but as Brazil is so big, they have plenty of space and don´t come near here, mostly. Sometimes there are snakes, but I´ve not actually seen a poisonous one near our place. My cats kill snakes, they take their heads off! You should see the chickens get the huge spiders! And the tropical pests that the muscovies DON´T get are the kids that live nearby,

In Ireland ye do have lizards, just little ones. Methinks ye have more predators to worry about in Ireland than we ´ave yer, especially the foxes and the mink that lose their fear.
Thats something new
Good, eh? Always something new to learn on here....

I remember seeing little lizards in Ireland, hiding under damp rocks and things, and yes, I prefer the predators here, too, as the other beasties that you mentioned can be dangerous, but they´re not so much predators. To be honest, the biggest danger toward mine would be a dumped dog wandering around and jumping over the fence, and so far that´s not happened, and they´ve never tried to go after my geese or chickens.

If you get a well trained big dog (lab, german shephard or a hound)then you wont have to worry about stray dogs and wow i live in ireland a long time and never saw one lizard and then theres you see a few :) and i hope my uncle wim will not come to ireland :)

Haha, at least keep Uncle Wim away from the geese if he comes! And I already have 6 dogs...maybe that´s why none of the strays have come in, eh?
