But she wasn't overweight and she was still laying. She laid the day before.Fatty liver disease happens often. No signs...quick unexpected death. If you opened her up you'd learn something.

Neither matter when it comes to fatty liver disease. But she wasn't overweight and she was still laying. She laid the day before.
Sorry for your loss. Fatty liver, heart attack, congenital weakness - sudden death happens in chickens upon occasion. If there is an upside to this, it is that sudden death is rarely from an infectious entity. How can it be so sudden? And she's young.
If there is even a slight possibility that you are dealing with coccidiosis You should treat the entire flock at the same time Corid. If they do not have coccidiosis treating them with Corid won't hurt.Urgent! Please help. Another girl was found dead today. I just dropped her off for a necropsy at the vet. I don't know what's going on here but I found more of the orangish/reddish stuff in the stool like last time. (Blood?!) Should I try treating for coccidiosis? And just treat all, just in case?
When did the vet say they would have the results back?Urgent! Please help. Another girl was found dead today. I just dropped her off for a necropsy at the vet. I am so sorry for your loss.My one year old girl was dead in their chicken run. Nothing seemed wrong. No blood or marks.
I don't know what happened. She was my favorite. Why would she be dead? Could my others die?
They said I would have results in a few days. I don't know who is actually going it.When did the vet say they would have the results back?
Is the vet performing it himself or are they sending it to your state lab for you?
Two teaspoons 2 gallons of water it's good enough. They said I would have results in a few days. I don't know who is actually going it.
I just put two teaspoons of corid in their two gallon water bowl.
Do I need to clean out/disinfect the run and coop? Anything else I should or can do as a a preventative in the meantime
