My girlfriend dumped me because of my chickens..

Thats a perfect example why I've never gotten into a relationship LOL. People around me think I'm weird for keeping chickens.

I personally feel that the world would be a better place if everyone enjoyed the companionship of an animal. It does something for your soul and makes people healthier and more compassionate. People give me odd looks sometimes about my chickens as pets, but when I explain to them that their is not much difference between them and a parrot, besides imitating speech and chickens laying eggs daily, they don't have comeback. As far as a relationship goes, a partner should respect what you find important. If they do not there will be problems.....

At least you aren't as bad as me with my Sophie Diva Chicken.... He he

Do you all want to live with clones of yourselves? I am glad my wife doesnt like the chickens. It lets me have a little privacy which after years of being married gets sort of scarce. She doesn't like deer hunting or football either, more opportunity for me to have some private time. Lord I don't like to shop so that is where she gets her time away from me and the birds and the kids. Appreciate people for what they are not for what they are not. It works both ways.

DH is the one who got me back into chickens and goats... He brought home my original chickens and bought me goats for my birthday this year(it was a surprise for me)... though he doesn't have much to do with them...

The OP is the kinda guy who later on will make sure the kids are wearing a coat! He's a gem! What a dingbat girlfriend....You will make someone a great hubby someday....but make sure she likes your chickens!!!
