Yes, starting from early on was the key in my doggy/chick relationship, from day one, we let them sniff them when the dog was calm and sitting or laying down. but only my one dog took it upon herself to stay with them the whole time as their protector, pretty cute! She's no long an Aussie cattle dog, she's now an Aussie Chicken dog! hehehe

I swear that your dog is smiling in the 3rd picture...he/she looks so happy. I'm glad that the girls are doing so well for you. They look beautiful and really healthy too. It is supposed to get into the 80's this week-end so they should have fun getting out again....good luck with the coop too!

I wish my dog was that tame with chickens. He enjoys chasing but never acctually attacks. I never let him have the chance anyways. I think he would enjoy chewing and plucking feathers way too much to allow him that near my birds.
