That's wild that half laid their first egg on the very same day.
I don't know what it is with chickens but yours sound like mine in that the must do EVERYTHING together. Eat, dust bath, and apparently lay eggs too.

I checked on them today. Little Sister had already laid her dark brown egg in her nest box located on the other side of the coop but she was standing in front of the nest box the other girls had used. I don't know if she is keeping count or what! I'll see what happens today.
