now get checking remember they are glass so don't drop them and give them time to adjust to temp. also use the 100 degree mark to check yours with the incubator on or just compare at room temperature . compare the Hygro set II as well make a note of the difference so you don't forget

I'll calibrate them with ice after I get home again, leaving soon... At room temp they are exactly the same.

really don't think you have to do that but if you want to . Tropical fish will die in water higher or lower than the green safety zone. and each species has its own water temperature within that . most of the time 73 to 78 degrees .if the temperature hits 80 even for overnight they die , they are really worse than eggs water temperature has to be just right. but let me know what happens with the ice calibration .

I'm getting geared up for setting now, bator is as shiny clean as it'll ever be and running. I'll be candling the hatching eggs tonight to check for cracks.... I got 6 bantam, and might have 12+ on the way.

Question.... Can I use sticky tac or suchlike stuff to attach the fish tank thermo to the egg turners? They just fall through when balanced, as they are too narrow. Would that influence readings?
