Still no Scooter girl

I still go out looking for her, calling her but nothing...I tell myself to stop looking and she'll probably show up and surprise me but with so much time passing

I have some Muscovy eggs coming from Bleenie this week so thankfully I'll have more scovies..I won't be letting these ones out of my sight! My husband and I are about to build a larger duck house and I've got the incubator out (with hopes that one of my chicken or duck hens goes broody before the eggs come), so my mind will be a little distracted. I've had ducks for three years and she's my first to vanish, it sure does hurt

Good luck with the Muscovy eggs from Bleenie..... you DO KNOW that when Scooter comes home you are going to have a LOT of babies!

You're right, everytime I step outside I can't help but look around and holler her name...the Mother in me just can't give up LOL
I hope she brings a boatload of babies home, as far as I'm concerned there's no such thing as too many Scovies ;-) My Husband might "think" differently but my ducks and I outnumber him

I've got my incubator ready, but have been sweet talking my chicken and duck hens, ok more like begging them to please go broody. I'd love to hatch them out naturally if I can. So far none of them are considering it though. I've got a nest in each pen with wooden eggs inside it, one of my Mallard Hens quit laying 2 days ago and she's built up a lovely nest for the other gals' eggs but no other signs of broodiness at this point.

a friend came in today to tell us the scovy girl I hand raised for their kids that went missing, has been found sitting on a nest of fat eggs - theres still hope for scooter!
