Thank you !! Same for you and all your animals ! May 2019 be a great year to anyone reading this message !Glad she is doing better! The aspirin is also an anti inflammatory (which is why it was initially mentioned), and a good thing to keep on hand for human emergencies like heart attacks... Happy New Years! I’m not sure where you are, but I’m thinking on the other side of the date line from meMay 2019 bring you and your chickens good heath and much happiness!
Well done - you've really completely committed your time and energy to this little chickenOh and guys about the asperin, my chicken is very small. Like a quarter of the size of a normal chicken. And I'm scared that if I go with those dosages - which may be for normal sized chickens - that I give her an overdose. And she's not really in alot of pain, her prolapse is also not really that big compared to other chickens that I have seen while doing research
Thanks for the fast reply! Yeah I've also read about those things. I live in South Africa, Cape Town.

We are sttuggling to find a good vet that gives medicine to chickens and actually diagnoses them. But her prolapse is healing up very nicely and I'm giving my chicken plain yogurt as a antibiotic and it seems to workingI hope it stays in today too! It sounds like she is dealing with it well (as are you!)
Is a visit to the Vet still the plan?
