Try keeping the prolapse moist with the coconut oil or the vaseline.
You're doing good
The egg is good to eat. Do you have commercial feed available or do your chickens moistly forage? I saw you mention corn. If she is getting constipated (not surprising with a prolapse). Try soaking the corn or even boiling it to soften and make into a mush, that will make it a little easier to digest. You can add a little boiled meat or even the egg to the mush to make her a nice meal
Glad she is doing better. With your patience and attentive care, I hope she recovers soon.
Yes, if you have vet care available, getting some antibiotics may help with any infection.
Thanks so much for your help! I'm giving her care throughout the whole day, so I will immediatly know when something is wrong. We bought some epsom salt again and tomorrow i am going to try and remove the dead tissue and put the prolapse back inside.
I have a few questions about removing those dead tissues and putting the prolapse back inside :
1. If it bleeds when I take the dead tissue off, should I wait for it to stop bleeding before putting it back in? And if I should, should I wash the dry blood off and then try putting it back?
2. Those uratus fluids coming out, should I wash it off and then try puttijg the prolapse back in or is it fine if some of it goes back inside?
3. How do I know if the prolapse is in correctly? Or isnt there a wrong way of doing it?
4. Should i put coconut oil or vaseline on it before putting the prolapse back inside or afterwards? Or before and after maybe?
5. Will she be able to poop normally after this?
Sorry for all the questions but I want to be prepared for this haha
I'll give her some coconut oil to drink again tomorrow and we also bought some plain yogurt. And can I give you guys a pic of my hen's feed? We only give it in the morning and then the rest of the day they peck around in the yard for bugs and plants. Sometimes I treat them with some fruits and veggies.
And I think I'm going to make her a meal of yogurt, some of the corn, but cooked and scrambled egg. She also has not laid an egg in the past 2 days. I guess it's a good thing - less pressure on her. She has also not gained or lost any weight
And her name is Speedy, if you wanted to know

she can run pretty fast
And how much of the epsom salt do i put in the water? I usually wash her in an ice cream tub of 2 litres, how many grams or millilitres should I put in 2 litres of water?
Thanks for all the help guys !! I wouldn't be able to do this without you !!

I'll keep you guys updated on my little Speedy !! xoxo
