Hello, thanks for the comments, I am not sure how old the barn is, although I should, but it is over 100 years old, I know that, I shall try and find a pic with the whole barn in it!!

As for the ponies weight, I do have to keep a check on it but the grass we have in our fields is not green grass, its very rustic so i don't have to worry too much, although Dooska is quite fat just now but I think that is ok going into the winter as there will be NO grass then!! They get hay in the winter and some hard feed when there is lots of snow on the ground.

They are not shod, and I ride Mary in a treeless saddle and I also have a bitless bridle for her. She is so laid back, most highland ponies are, although sometime I can't even get her to move!! Dooska is actually for sale but I haven't advertised her as I don't really want to sell her!!

BEAUTIFUL!!!! The grulla with her sporty dorsal stripe is gorgeous. And that photo of Mary in the barn is adorable with her fuzzy coat. I love your ponies!

Wow, just, oh wow.

How big are the ponies? I like them, they look like easy keepers and I love the idea of a laid back riding pony.
I wish I could take Dooska home with me. I miss riding.

What a beautiful home you have. Thank you for sharing. I've always wanted to visit Scotland.

eta: Grulla (my favorite color, too)

Taken from:
http://greenfield.fortunecity.com/dreams/799/hc/grulla.htm

Grulla (pronounced "grew-yah," and also spelled grullo) is a slate or slate-brown color with black points and primitive markings (dorsal stripe, leg stripes, etc.). The horse also has a black face. Grulla is black diluted by the D gene, or aaD-E-. Unlike a grey or roan horse, the hairs of a grulla are all individually slate-colored. Greys and roans have colored hairs intermixed with white hairs.

Grulla comes in many shades, some light, some dark, some silvery, some olive-colored. All have black points, black masks, and primitive markings.

Borderkelpie, thank you for the explanation of Grulla! Over here we call that colour Mouse Dun, although she is quite a light mouse dun. Dun can be most colours too (yellow, grey, fox etc), but normally means black points etc.
The grey is 14hh, I think Dooska might be a wee bit bigger when she is fully grown (she is only 18 months) She is for sale so if anyone wants to sart highland pony breeding over the pond, give me a shout, lol
