My hubby hates BBQ, so what to do with these

My favorite non-BBQ/Grilled way to cook and eat ribs are as follows:

Honey/Ginger Ribs

Marinate the ribs in the following for one to twelve hours (longer is better) by placing the ribs and the following in very large zip lock bags:

2 cups apple cider or apple juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3 Tbs Soy Sauce
1/4 cup Honey
3 Tbs dried Mustard Powder
3 Tbs dried Ginger Powder
3 tsp dried garlic powder
3 tbs dried onion powder

To cook:
1. Remove the ribs and marinade and all goes in to a stock pot, adding enough water to cover the ribs by a few inches.
2. Boil the ribs for an hour to 90 minutes in a big stock pot (loosens the connective tissues and makes em' tender)
3. Remove the ribs from the bpiling water, place on an oven rack and salt, pepper, and rub with a mixture of dried ginger, garlic, mustard and cook in a 375 degree oven for another hour to two and check for proper temp for your preference of doneness.
4. Near the last 20 minutes of cooking I glaze the ribs with a ginger salad dressing my wife likes - any of the ginger flavored you like will do.
5. Let the ribs rest for about 10 minutes before serving once removed from the oven.

Servce with favorite sides - my family likes sticky rice and corn on the cob. Kind of an asian twist on the flavors - but not so heavy like teryaki or asian style BBQ. The apple cider or apple juice in the marinade and cooking really gives a great flavor.

I think the german idea in the roaster with kraut with potatoes sounds great as well.

Enjoy - hope someone likes this.

I'd say just salt, pepper and garlic powder and slow cook over a charcole grill. Makes me hungry just thinking about it!

My favorite mix to put on ribs is along the lines of:

hoysin sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, cognac, brown sugar, ketchup, and sesame oil.

Soak for a day and then put in oven... however I can't be very helpful... since that's all I observe my mom put in on the meat and don't know any further of the details. Hoysin sauce FTW!

I often cook them down in my pressure cooker then finish them off in the oven like a roast. With the broth I cook onions and rice. Good eatin'!

I can't eat BBQ sauce(stomach problems) so i just put them in the oven with some salt &pepper and cover and cook real slow, taste great to me and DH adds the sauce when he eats them.
