YAY! Morgana surprised me by going broody on me and now she has hatched her own eggs!!
A month ago my male Indian runner sadly was taken by a fox.....For a week it was scary, always being on the look out for foxes. ( my dogs had a great time though helping me chase the fox away ) The chickens would sound the alarm and I would call my dogs and off they went chasing the little guy that took Sir Arthur......Luckily no one else was taken, I had 10 fertile eggs from my male duck and I had no room for them in my incubator! Morgana came to the rescue, she went broody and now has hatched her own ducklings! Her friend Guinevere ( got jealous ) and went broody a couple of weeks ago so now I have too broody ducks raising their own ducklings!!! Super excited to see them grow up and follow mama around.
