To Ivy:

Hush dear Ivy
Lay down your sweet head
The day is nearly over
All of your egg songs have been said.

Time for just one more good bye
To Lexie, Livvie, Cynthia and Tom
From all of us who love you,
It’s time for moving on.

We will meet again,
Somewhere over the bridge.
Where pain and cares are cast aside.
Where together we'll all enjoy the after life!

Hush dear Ivy
Lay down your sweet head
The day is nearly over
It’s time to go to bed.

Cynthia and Tom, may the Great Spirit hold you in His loving hands. May He ease the pain in your hearts with joyful memories of Ivy, now and forever.

Amy, Amy, tell us the truth. You are a world famous, published author in the real world, right?

I was laughing my head off this morning till I got to this thread. . . . . .that is SO beautiful!!!!!!

Well, Tiny produced her very first tiny egg....and it's brown.

She is a black Ameraucana, albeit beardless. Was just glad she could lay without issues, but brown was a shock. I wonder if the BLRW rooster was her sire, in spite of her appearance, and that is why her egg is like this:

Mark, we did give her a round awhile back, but it didn't work. It's way beyond what antibiotics can fix. We did bring her back twice by doing that, but the last time, it wasn't effective. Her oviducts are full of cooked egg/infection and there is probably solid pieces of infection all through her abdomen. Trust me, we've done this so many times, we're sure what's happening in there. The condition is incurable.
