I can say I am blessed with one who is sensitive to them and most animals but he is a reaist and will do what is best for them first, then be upset later. When I feared Cannonball would have to be put down because of her cracked upper beak, he was very upset but calmly told me to "call it". Bless his heart and he cried like a baby when I was at the vet's having my wolf put down. I had to send him to a corner so he did not upset my boy.
When Thor passed away and he found out about it, he was upset and he told me to do whatever I needed to do to keep from losing any others...he said "baby, air condition the coop, you have lost too much already". I love that about him because we both have the ability to be "the strong one" when the other is not. Makes for a good balance.
