So many of us say that we would go to the ends of the earth for our chooks. That we would walk through fire and crawl across broken glass. But Cynthia, YOU actually DO IT! You're such an inspiration to all of us, and I for one and so grateful for your presence here. You make me feel that anything is possible with my babies if I just try hard enough. Bless you sweet Lady, both you and your girls. And let's not forget your right hand in all of this. Tom! Thank you for being there for our beloved Cyn. Without you, I sometimes wonder if she could try so hard. You're a one in a million man to be so willing to help with her feathered children!

I know...I'm still working on Denny to get him to be as in love with my chickens as I am!

As always Cyn, keeping you and yours in my heart and prayers.

Thank you, Amy. I completely agree about my hubby. He adores these birds, though sometimes he loses his patience with them. Livvie is very special to him. She was the only broody who wanted him to take her out to eat her dinner, then pulled at his pants leg for him to take her back to her eggs every day. Such a precious little soul she is. And Ivy is just a great girl. Some I could lose and not be very heartbroken over, but some are going to really hurt when they go.

wow, that is amazing about Livvie pulling on Tom's pants to get him to take her places. LOL I have one little gold laced cochin pullet who tugs on shoes/pants/whatever to get us to pick her up. She is a darling and has the weirdest cluck...more like a horn on a model-t car. LOL Cyn, I have said it before, you are the closest thing we have on BYC to a chicken vet. Thank you and we just don't say it enough.

Well, I'm not sure I'd go that far, Carrie. There are folks who know much more than me but don't post often, folks I will consult when I need more knowledge than I have.

Sorry I agree 100% with ozark hen...you have a fabulous mix of wisdom, common sense and knowledge....not to mention hands on experience. You do not fluff it up and give your advice openly and with warmth, even when it is not favorable on the outcome. That is so much more important that you realize.

I am keeping the girls in my prayers. Bless their hearts they are such good girls.
