My Japanese Quail is broody!!!

So I put a rabbit hidey house in my Quail cage and within a month Or two my hen started nesting!
Today I gave her some fertile eggs, let's see if she can hatch them shall we?

Wow that’s awesome! I’m hoping to get quail this year. I read it’s super rare for Japanese Quail to brood.

Yay! It happens a occasionally, but getting them to sit all the way and take care of the chicks is another story. Rooting for you, update us with pics if she's successful!

Well I have replaced the infertile eggs with fertile ones, she accepted them! It's night time now so she's sleeping I'll try and keep you updated.
Ps: I know how rare it is for them to successfully raise chicks
Pps: the infertile eggs were still good so she couldn't have been sitting on them long so she'll hopefully sit on these eggs the full 18days!

We have an embryo!!!
We're on day 4, she has 12 eggs and I don't know if she's going to keep sitting but she's gone pretty wild and broody.

wow.....12 eggs!! i only have about 12 ea under my silkies and seems full! keep us posted!!
